Received the Certificate of Compostela!

I received this beautiful “certificate of completion” or “Compostellae de Camino de Santiago” yesterday. Technically I walked 52 miles in the hike and you are supposed to do the last 60 from Sarria to receive the certificate. However I tracked my miles daily with the band and walking around the villages we walked more – Juli and I did 16 miles one day when we were only supposed to do 9-10 walking around Villa Franca site seeing.  My band says I did over 106,800 steps last week, almost 66 miles, and this is approximately the length of the Panama Canal! Who knew! 🙂  Very proud of my certificate. Now I want to go back to walk more!

This is the office where you go with your Credential or Passport of Stamps (Sellos) and hope to receive your Certificate of Completion. The que is long but fortunately some of our group learned you can go to another office for a group of 4 or more and there was only about a 30 minute wait for us!
